A space to work, relax or exercise, but above all to meet, share and pursue your life projects, both personal and professional. This and much more is The Babel Community, the first French coliving residence, opened in 2017.
Bordeaux, Grenoble, Montpellier, Paris are just some of the cities that now host these places combining homes, coworking, and a wide ecosystem of services and leisure facilities. Among them, the Ciel Rooftop, a genuine Italian restaurant on the terrace of the residence Marseille Vieux-Port. Located on the seventh floor of the building, it’s the ideal spot to enjoy one of the city’s most beautiful sunsets.
And if the aperitif turns into dinner and dusk becomes night, the perfect lighting to set the mood for the evening is by Creative-Cables.
The project arose from the need to rethink the lighting of the restaurant terrace, starting with a safe and reliable product, even when exposed to rain and bad weather. A wired and versatile product that would allow for complete customisation of the lighting layout, even for very specific needs.
More lights on the tables or above the bar counter and softer atmospheres next to the sofas? Every client request was listened to, for a bespoke project carefully designed, even starting from the floor plan of the space.

To create an installation that met all expectations, we started with Eiva-2, the double outlet lamp holder perfect for string lights, which combines aesthetics and safety. Thanks to the special insulating gel inside and a membrane that seals tightly around the light bulb, this lamp holder has an IP65 protection rating and can safely withstand rain and storms.
Among the features most appreciated by customers is also the ability to add lampshades at any time without altering the installation, making it very easy to change the atmosphere of the restaurant in the future if desired.
To connect the 65 lamp holders, more than 100 metres of white outdoor textile cable were used, which not only blended perfectly into the string light, but also gave the project a timeless elegance. And to provide the warm, natural light the client was seeking, Globo G95 LED light bulbs with a double-loop curved filament were used.
