Bakelite is a thermosetting resin named after its inventor, and instantly evokes telephones, radios and everyday objects from the 1950s and 60s. It is a lightweight, durable material and, when painted, very glossy! The presence of the pull switch allows you to turn the light bulb on or off, and is useful when there is no wall or in-line switch.
The E27 thermoplastic lamp holder kit with double ring for lampshade and pull switch is ideal if:
