Creative-Cables lights up Precollinear Park

Torinostratosferica, a social laboratory for research and urban innovation, has breathed new life into the spaces of a former tram line by creating a “green strip” stretching for 800 metres. For the summer season of 2021, it also launched “Precollinear Park Summer”, inaugurated on 13 July and running until the end of the month with events, talks and much more.

We enthusiastically took part, designing and creating six different site-specific lighting environments. We made very long string lights (including one an impressive 160 metres long!) and developed systems that could light and enhance the park setting to its best advantage.

To properly illuminate such a large outdoor area, a water-resistant system was needed, and there could be no better choice than our EIVA waterproof system with IP65 resistance rating, which also withstood the heavy storm that hit Turin a few days ago perfectly.

Thanks to the great versatility of our systems, we were able to play with lengths and drops to create true lighting installations.

We created arrangements with EIVA Pastel pendants, using all four available colours, while to light the long avenue we used Swing Pastel lampshades.

The Lumet string lights have also played a significant role, perfectly lighting and decorating the spaces of the old tram shelters. Thanks to their IP44 water resistance rating, they are the best choice for outdoor areas such as terraces, balconies and outdoor seating areas.
