In the heart of Paris’s 11th arrondissement, architect Xavier Leguet oversaw the renovation of a mansard apartment, transforming it into a functional, designer space.
Due to sloping ceilings and irregular volumes, the flat required innovative lighting solutions. The products from the Filé and Lumet ranges by Creative Cables proved to be the ideal choice to stylishly meet these needs.

Every light, a challenge
One of the main challenges in renovations is repositioning the light points. “The new light point is rarely in the same place as the previous one; and sometimes it can be complicated, if not impossible, to install the new electric cables according to regulations,” architect Xavier Leguet told us. This is where Lumet and Filé products came in, allowing the existing power supply to be kept and the light points to be positioned wherever needed. How? Thanks to exposed fabric cables, which not only simplified installation but also enhanced the space with a decorative and colourful touch.

Enhancing unusual spaces
Attic flats, with their sloping ceilings and irregular lines, require lighting solutions that blend harmoniously with the architecture. "It can be interesting to choose a lamp that develops lengthways, to emphasise the line of the roof. For an unusual volume, there’s nothing better than lighting that goes beyond the ordinary."

"With beautiful light bulbs, you’re all set!"
Just add a few colourful fabric cables, pair them with designer light bulbs, and lighting is no longer just a functional necessity but becomes a decorative element that defines the apartment’s atmosphere. Solutions like these not only solve technical problems but also turn every challenge into a style opportunity.
