A haven of peace in the centre of Cape Town, surrounded by the natural beauty of Table Mountain and Lion's Head. But also a place where history meets the present, and where you can breathe in urban art and local culture.
All this and more is iGadi House, a 19th-century property located in the historic heart of South Africa's capital, now home to an exclusive hotel.
Uncommon charm fills the spaces of this Victorian-style residence, dominated by neutral colours and natural wood, brought to life by bold accents of colour. Spaces to which the lamps by Creative-Cables have brought even greater harmony. Ten rooms, ranging from the cosiest to the most spacious, welcoming common areas and an inviting outdoor space are all illuminated by the lamps and systems made in Italy, expertly chosen by the hotel owner Cecile Bouquillion.
Across the threshold

Various bespoke solutions illuminate the entrance. Subtle yet full of personality, the Fermaluce at the reception desk and above the counter by the entrance. Meanwhile, the pendant lamp in the centre of the room is made completely invisible, to highlight the suspended feather sculpture by Désirée Botterill. Almost part of the artwork itself, the system of lamps with ceiling roses suspended in line above the table. Absolute stars: the cyan blue fabric cable and the P-Light lamp holders, in perfect harmony with the wall decoration and seating.
In the blue painted blue
Lighting up the relaxation room, in intense blue hues, is a minimalist chandelier with an Ashanti Design lampshade, set beneath original period beams thanks to the Tubes System, which combines the aesthetic of the fabric covering with the practicality of a genuine surface-mounted wall system. Next to the sofa, a plug-in lamp with a cable that blends into the blue wall, allowing the jewel-like light bulb to stand out.

Up the stairs
Rose-one with three drops in petrol blue with emerald, brass and ultraviolet lamp holders illuminate the stairs, also thanks to the colourful Ashanti Design lampshades.
And leading to the rooms upstairs, the Spostaluce lamps (assembled thanks to the skilful use of cable grommets), paired with half-silvered light bulbs, perfect for highlighting the Ashanti Design lampshades.

With the doors closed
Creative-Cables is also a key feature in bedrooms, with bespoke solutions that enhance every part of the room.

Here are some original table lamps with metal lampshades, customised pendant lights, and functional bedside lamps (made possible by Spostaluce, the perfect wall lamps for bringing light wherever it’s needed). At once minimal and elegant.
That’s how you take a bath!
Thanks to their protection rating, Creative-Cables lamps have also played a starring role in bathrooms and outdoors. In the guest toilets, decorated in black and white, EIVA lamps have been installed in the centre of the ceiling to brighten the entire space. Above the mirror, esse14 lamps were chosen, which guarantee IP44 protection thanks to the 50 cm tubular light bulb.

Under the stars
The exteriors are also by Creative-Cables, whose EIVA system, with its IP65 protection rating, is impervious to rain and bad weather. The Fermaluce with lampshade add character to the entrances and private gardens of the rooms.
