Valérie Menuet is a French designer from Nantes who, after years of working on set decorations in the world of theatre and show business, focused on creating objects that would allow her to combine her expertise in lighting and aesthetics. In her Nantes studio, Valérie began to create unique pieces, often using reclaimed and “unconventional” materials, halfway between the artistic endeavour of design and sculpture and the spirit underpinning upcycling. In these creations, Valérie always pays great attention to functionality, ensuring each piece is durable and useful as well as beautiful.
In these photos, we can appreciate two different projects, both created with our colourful textile cables, where colour becomes an essential element!
The first is a multi-pendant lamp, made using kitchen triggers and containers, together with our round textile cables in solid colours or ZigZag patterns. The second project is a pair of twin pendant lamps, with a minimal and Scandinavian-inspired design, where the orange textile cable creates a strong contrast with the white walls and the natural wood finish of the lamps.
