Making a one-bedroom flat on the open walkway of a typical early 1900s Milanese casa di ringhiera both functional and full of new light: a challenge taken on by the Milan-based design studio Moodular.
In the project, which restored the flat to its original historic charm while meeting modern living needs, the bathroom was positioned beyond the bedroom and a practical hallway with wardrobe and mezzanine was created before the sleeping area, making it cosier and more intimate. The living room, both welcoming and functional, features a kitchenette with dining table and a living area with an additional bed for a guest.

In this space, a Flex 60 adjustable lamp has been placed above the round coffee table. Meanwhile, to make evenings with friends even more enjoyable, a Fermaluce Metal with curved extension has been installed above the sofa. A single pendant light, featuring a 2XL braided cord and a beechwood end piece crafted in Italy, illuminates a hallway with a wardrobe preceding the sleeping area.

The Fermaluce in metal is the perfect lamp for lighting up the bathroom mirror. The satin bronze finish was chosen to create a point of contrast in a bathroom designed with natural tones and a textured look.

The bedroom has been lit with two Flex 30 wall lights which, positioned towards the bedside tables, bring guests’ dreams to life.
