Living in a small space without giving up comfort is possible. Here is an example of a Colombian tiny house featuring lighting by Creative-Cables.
They are an affordable yet highly practical and versatile housing solution, where you can enjoy all the comforts of a traditional home despite the compact size. Tiny houses allow you to live freely and make the most of the space, which is exactly why they’re experiencing a real boom all over the world.
Built in most cases with green building techniques, using wood or other ecological and eco-sustainable materials, the tiny houses are insulated both acoustically and thermally. And they are completely customisable to suit any style: industrial, country, shabby chic, Scandinavian…
The solution chosen for this temporary mini home of around 20 sqm, created by Jorge Posada and Juan Carlos Correa for KZs Modulares and presented at ExpoCamacol 2022, Colombia’s leading architecture and design fair, was to blend a more minimalist, clean style with a rustic touch, using linear modules and panels of exposed chipboard alternating with white walls and large windows. Natural light takes centre stage, but not only, because when the lights go out, it’s the Creative-Cables lamps that shine.
The star of the kitchen corner is a two-drop pendant lamp, mounted on the wall with lampshades that directly illuminate the work surface.
Coordinated but with a lampshade in a different shade, the single pendant above the bed brightens the space while somehow keeping the living and sleeping areas distinct without, however, creating a mismatch that would weigh down such a small environment.
The lamps by Creative-Cables also take centre stage in the bathroom of this Colombian tiny house: a single pendant with a concrete lampshade lights up the washbasin, the focal point of the bathroom. Chic and just the right amount of minimal.
And outside? The mini house is perfect for making the most of the EIVA system products, designed for outdoor use.
